It all started with a dream

Smokin Fins began the same way a lot of good ideas do; with a shared love for restaurants and a belief that we could create something special. What started as a simple idea turned into a mission: serve craveable seafood, create welcoming spaces, and build restaurants people actually want to come back to.

That dream first took shape as Lucky Fins, our original concept in Meridian, Idaho, and the foundation of everything that followed. Built around approachable seafood, friendly service, and an easygoing atmosphere, Lucky Fins quickly became a place people loved to gather, and a blueprint for what was possible. That foundation gave us the confidence to think bigger. Not to reinvent what worked, but to build on it.

As the brand grew, so did our curiosity. We began experimenting with new flavors, techniques, and atmospheres. Smokin Fins started as a spinoff of that original idea; the same craveable seafood, with a slightly bolder, smokier edge.

Over time, the two concepts evolved side by side. Today, they share the same menu (because great food is great food, right?) while each location still brings its own personality, setting, and energy.

As the brand has evolved, our focus has remained clear: consistency, quality, and creating places people genuinely enjoy spending time. Smokin Fins today brings that focus to life. through great food, welcoming spaces, and genuine hospitality.
